| Description of the problem | My wife's 2007 mercedes benz e350 smells of gas every time we fill up the car. The smell is noticeable inside and outside the car. We had the fuel system repaired but the smell may have infected the back seat and upholstery. The cost of repair was slightly under $1500 usd. I believe this is an unsafe situation. Had the car been rear ended or hit on either rear quarter it is extremely possible for the car to catch/burst on fire. I'm very upset that mercedes hasn't been required to fix this defect at their cost. I've seen numerous other complaints about this with vehicle in the 2004 to 2008 year. |
